Howard has spent the last two decades working with transformative software businesses from their earliest days, including the likes of Skype, Turo, and Callisto Media. He lived and worked overseas for ten years as an engineer, business development executive, and investor both in Japan and Luxembourg. Howard started his investment career alongside William H. Draper III at Draper Investment Company, followed by Draper-Richards, then joined August Capital as a partner in 2008.

Prior to entering the venture capital field, Howard was an executive at Hughes Electronics, an ergonomics engineer with Honda’s R&D unit, and a mechanical engineer at Teledyne Relays. Howard received a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from M.I.T. He currently resides in Silicon Valley with his wife, two daughters, and a bunch of chickens.
